Webgrain Presentation to the Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs
Allison Ohman and Nick Britton of Webgrain Inc. presented “How to Build a Better Website” to members of the Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs (RMAF) on November 10th. The 86th annual convention was held at the Billings, Montana Holiday Inn. The RMAF is comprised of a 110 members from Agricultural Fairs and Festivals in Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, North & South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming and Canadian provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan along with 154 Service Members.
The presentation covered a variety of topics, ranging from choosing a good color scheme for your site to more in depth information such as deciding on the Content Management System that’s right for you. One of the highlights of the day was a “what not to do” segment featuring some absolutely horrible sites from around the web. The attendees were encouraged to ask questions and issues specific to their websites were addressed.
Members left the presentation with a better understanding of the thought process and technological requirements behind building a website that will stand out for the right reasons in today’s crowded internet.
